Rock and Metal News – Metallica – Lou Reed – LULU – FULL ALBUM REVIEW!!

What did you guys think of the album??????

Get! MEGADETH – TH1RT33N
Don’t Get! METALLICA – LOU REED – LULU

If you did not like the song “THE VIEW” don’t even listen to the album.

Lulu is a collaborative album between rock singer-songwriter Lou Reed, and heavy metal band Metallica. The album will be released worldwide on October 31, 2011, worldwide, and on November 1 in North America.[3]

The conception of the collaboration project began in 2009 when both Metallica and Lou Reed performed at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame’s 25th Anniversary Concert.[3] After that performance, they began “kicking around the idea of making a record together,”[4] but didn’t start working together until two years later. In February 2011, Metallica guitarist Kirk Hammett announced that in May 2011 the group would start working on something that’s “not 100 percent a Metallica record. It’s a recording project, let’s put it that way.”[5] The project was revealed to be a collaboration with Lou Reed once the recording of the album had been completed in June 2011.[3]

The collaboration was originally intended to be Metallica re-recording various previously unreleased tracks Reed had written over the years.[6] Among these unreleased demos was a collection of songs composed for a play called Lulu—a theatrical production of two plays originally written by the German playwright Frank Wedekind.[7] Reed shared the demos of these songs with the members of Metallica to help bring the “piece to the next level,”[8] and the group provided “significant arrangement contributions” to the material.[9] David Fricke of Rolling Stone heard at least two of the songs from the project in June 2011—”Pumping Blood” and “Mistress Dread”—and described their sound as a “raging union of [Reed’s] 1973 noir classic, Berlin, and Metallica’s ’86 crusher, Master of Puppets.”[9]

Led Zeppelin V new album χυμεία3 !?? Check out their Facebook post, what’s up?? — Megadeth plays I Ain’t Superstitious Live — Sevendust with Via on stage! — New Malignancy track and much more!

On September 8th Led Zeppelin simply posted the word ‘five’ to their Facebook page. Five possibly suggest the album Led Zeppelin – V might be released??. This was the first post the band has made in six months and it could be a sign of something new in the works, or a tease to the fans…!

No official word from the band but the internet is buzzing with rumors the band’s first new album in 30 years could take shape. Sources claim that the band will release a new DVD/CD of their 2007 reunion for the Ahmet Ertegun tribute concert at London’s O2 Arena, which might come out in November.

Peter Mensch Jimmy Page’s manager directed to an upcoming release in a tweet on Saturday, stating: “it’s almost here. I’ve seen it and heard it. almost 5 years to the day.” Which it what the FIVE may stand for..

He also stated before: “today Moulder continues with his stellar mixing of the O2 show. it’s been 5 years coming and it’s almost here.”
Check out the post here what are your thoughts? : http://www.facebook.com/ledzeppelin

Coal Chamber’s drummer Mike Cox injured himself while performing; this time during the bands set on September 8th in Sao Paulo, Brazil. He was taken to the hospital for a broken forearm, however the injury turned out to be a muscle contusion.

Megadeth played “I Ain’t Superstitious” during their set on September 8th, at the Teatro Caupolican in Santiago, Chile. Supposedly, it was the songs first time played live since 1986.check it out:

This song is off the band’s new album titled Eugenics, which is out on October 9th.

I Declare War has apparently tossed out guitarist Evan Hughes. While the band has yet to make a statement, Hughes has issued the following statement on Twitter:

“Just so everyone knows, because I’ve been asked about it a few times already, I won’t be part of the upcoming tour with The Acacia Strain. As much as I hate saying it, I’m not even a part of I Declare War anymore. It was not my decision. I’m pretty goddamn torn up about it
