Rock & Roll ’50 ’60 – Full Album – Vintage Music Songs

Bobby Gillespie scrive che «Quando Chuck Berry cantava “Hail, hail, rock and roll, deliver me from the days of old”, questo era esattamente quello che la musica stava facendo.

The 50 Greatest Southern Rock Songs (1969-2012)

Made in memory of Gregg Allman.

Southern rock is a subgenre of rock music that blends elements of rock and roll, blues, and country music. The genre saw its first wave of popularity in the early 1970s with groups like The Allman Brothers Band, Lynyrd Skynyrd, and Charlie Daniels. These groups remained popular throughout the 1970s, but following the breakup of The Allman Brothers Band, the Lynyrd Skynyrd plane crash, and the rise of new wave music, the genre faded from the spotlight. However, 1980s and 1990s acts like Molly Hatchet and the Black Crowes remained popular, with the latter being voted the “Best New American Band” by readers of Rolling Stone in 1990. Nowadays acts like Kid Rock and Whitey Morgan and the 78’s have maintained the genre’s popularity in the 21st century. Some groups from the classic era of southern rock are still active today, like ZZ Top, Atlanta Rhythm Section, and Blackfoot.

I used four different song lists to compile the list for this video. I have provided the links to each source at the bottom of the description.

Top 500 Best/Classic Rock Songs (200-1)

Welcome to my list of top 500 best/classic rock songs!

I have chosen these 500 songs according to the following 7 factors:

1: Knownability (how well known the song is by different people).
2: Influencability (how influencial the song has been).
3: Soloability (the greatness of the instrumental parts/solos).
4: Oldability (the age of the song).
5: Favoriteability (how much I personally like the song).
6: Messagebility (the message in the song)
7: Newability (how unique the song was at it´s time).

The answer to the question is YES (not the group), I do feel bad for not including a lots of songs/groups on this list! I could easily have made this list twice as big, and I am really sad it is only a top 500 list! It has been a hard decision to choose these songs and put them in the right place! I hope you all like this list! There is otherwise only one thing to do. Feel sad, cry in a dark corner, take a glass (big glass) of wine (white and dry of course!), feel even more sad, drink more, puke it up, take another glass and sing an old Led Zeppelin song!

Feel free to comment this if you want BUT only if you recognize at least 96% of the songs (that is 480 of 500)! Please comment if you feel sad about seeing me not including some songs, or just wants me as you new leader (but just if you get at least 96% right!)!

Remember that It’s a long way to the top, and that martensitic stainless steels are hardenable! Peace out, I Love Rock N Roll!
