THE LOVERS (SONG LYRICS)
Bootleg bootleg bootleg howler
Take you a glass of water
Make it against the law
See how cool the water tastes
Can’t have any ’cause
Findin’ a natural woman
Is like honey to the bee
But you don’t buzz the flower
‘Til you know the honey’s free
Susan little give us some cherry pie
Love and ain’t fun
Better you grab it when she ain’t lookin’
‘Cause you know you’d rather have it on the run

On face 2, we started by remembering one of the groups that reached great popularity thanks to the energy put in all their performances: LOVERS. Carrying the baton Juan Ramón Crespo, the group went from being a set of brats to one of respect, especially with its version for the english success “I’m alright”, that they used like subject of presentation in the youth festival of television of 1968. All action of LOVERS was enveloped by their contagious enthusiasm and in “Estoy Bien”, this enthusiasm feels in the whole duration of the cut, Notice the loud voice in the background, It’s Neto Maids, the rhythmic source of the group and, in those days, the youngest drummer of the environment.

Is what you’ve learned from NYS is worth a couple bucks to you? Please go subscribe or download your favorite track at Bandcamp. These videos take a lot of time to produce and I really can’t do it without support from you guys! https://nowyoushred.bandcamp.com/
THANKS so much for your support!
Get the extended track here: https://nowyoushred.bandcamp.com/track/crazy-horse-style-heavy-rock-backing-track-e-aeolian-59-bpm *oops! looks like I missed a C on the scale diagram up there! Be warned… (it’s the 3rd fret of the A string)
Key: E Aeolian – Chords: Em D Am7 //
Based on a live version of Cortez the Killer, this jam track ended up sounding like the love child of Neil Young’s version and Pink Floyd’s Comfortably Numb. But then… how could THAT be bad? E Minor pentatonic will get you through this fine! But, since there are 2 full measures on the A minor chord, you may want to highlight some notes from the A minor triad. Try a C (b6) you won’t be disappointed. Shred ON!
Please comment if you have any questions, suggestions or requests. Thanks for checking out Now YOU Shred!
When shredding: stuff to keep in mind:
Keep it simple, and repeat good ideas and sounds you like.
Try to play what’s in your head, not what you’re looking at (like those chord grids up there) or what your fingers have “memorized”.
Be expressive! Try to add hammer-ons, string rakes, palm mutes, pull-offs, bends, slides, vibrato, or whammy bar to as many notes as you can! Listen to the pros, I guarantee that’s what they’re doing, unless they’re shredding at a million notes a second.
Most importantly: Learn some useful vocabulary! You must either copy some phrases from someone else, or come up with your own phrases to play. Music is a language with MANY dialects – you MUST learn the basics of the language to sound good, AND a the idiosyncrasies of the dialect to sound hip! That, or you’re some kind of genius who automatically knows what do do (doubtful) so don’t be lazy! Learn some basic blues licks, they will take you far! I learned some Dave Gilmour and Jimi Hendrix licks 20 years ago and I still play ’em all the time!
My name is Renzo, I make these tracks. I’m a guitar teacher touring musician and music producer from the great city of Oakland, California. Please SUBSCRIBE, I upload at least once a week so don’t miss out!
